The special language acquisition program in the VABO class is a support measure for adolescent immigrants (ages 15 to 19) with no or only very limited German language proficiency. The young adults are prepared for vocational training, in which both theory
and praxis are combined. The focus is on the acquisition of the German language. Various mathematics and language tests are also part of this learning program.
With the establishment of a committee to decide on matters related to the special language acquisition program, new arrivals can be quickly assigned to an appropriate school where they will receive integration and language training.
