Registering at the public
administration office Everyone who moves to Germany or moves within Germany has two weeks time to register at the pubic administration office of the city or community. People who move to the city of Heilbronn must register at the public administration office of the city of Heilbronn. All people who move to a surrounding region of Heilbronn (Landkreis) must register at the local public administration office of that region. Depending on the individual requirements, you are to register directly at the immigration office or at one of the municipal public public administration offices. The following people must register at the public administration offices of the city of Heilbronn:
- Anyone who already lives in the city of Heilbronn
- Anyone from the EU or the EEA member states
- Anyone with a valid residence title (e.g. residence permit, settlement permit)
Once you have registered at the public administration office of the city of Heilbronn, you will be given guidance, which is available to you in 16 different languages. When you register, please bring your valid passport and/or personal identification, as well as the residence title for each dependent who is moving with you.
Registration at the immigration office
New residents who are not EU citizens and who do not have a valid settlement permit must register at the immigration office. Please bring your official papers of residency with you (e.g. residence permit, visa, etc) and a completed landlord confirmation of residence form.
